Very quickly my renewed excitement about EVE is turning very sour. Real life $$ transactions for items of power??? dev blogs about $1000 jeans??? what the hell did i come back to? I just cancelled my subscription.

I think i will go and reactive and play my WoW account instead. At least they only charge RL $$ for silly stuff like sex changes.

I've seen more than a few times in Eve where indeed masses of people have acted like children but this isn't one of those times by a long shot. Today has seen a mass of people come together for a common goal. Amazingly very little in-fighting or childishness has taken place. It's great to see all these people who are normally at each others throats working together to save the game they love from imploading due to poor management. They/we are sending a collective message that the childishness at CCP needs to stop if we are to remain here as paying customers.

Well if you look at the earliest Incarna stuff, it is obvious they completely scrapped what they had at one point and started fresh with a new engine.

Have you not seen features being removed so they can be added again later as MT?

So, remove MT from the game completely, and raise the monthly sub fee to make the extra money you need. Problem solved. Considering the amount of time since this game was released, a price hike to $75 a month ought to do it.

There is a single reason for all the problems there is between CCP and the gamers fanbase :

1. Why do they stop caring about what we say ?
2. Why didnt they make any major effort to fix bugs, upgrade the game the past few years ?
3. Why they will only force Incarna-like features and online store from now on ?

Because they have changed their business model years ago. They dont intend to be user-friendly anymore. They dont intend to take advice from the community (CSM is an illusion of that).

They follows a new strategy : more and more and more paying content. And who cares if 5-10 % players go away, when the remaining will pay 2 times more than before to continue playing ?

It sure is sad. But consider the fact that now, even if they want to, CCP cant change their business model now. They are engaged. It's over.

TL;DR: expect more and more BS to buy time in days to come. And more and more 1000$ pants.

1: Us eve players dont pay the bills? We also make it impossible for CCP to introduce new people to eve (eve has ALWAYS been harsh to noobs, but now with goons and crew its even worse). Think of the CSM as a baby passifier to keep the customers entertained with the illusion of them being important, as their purpose is to fund CCP's WoW, called WoD.

That's how CCP sees them, that is how I see them. It is called REALITY.

Eve is that child in the family that will always get 2nd attention to their prize baby, WoD. Eve is reaching its lifespan and they are going to jump to WoD and then stick Eve on life support, but one can argue Eve is on life support already. It is obvious, non commitment to features, just enough to get the funding in place (Incarna is a Trojan Horse for that) then once that is in, that it is purpose. Don't expect much more features outside of that track for Eve in future.

Think of Incarna as a TROLLEY DASH around the mall in a competition to get the highest revenue. It's called a BOOST. You go for the BIG ONE, thieves use it in stores, called a BOOSTER BAG, and hit the store HARD, not one or 2 items in the pockets, a HUGE BLOODY METAL TINFOIL BAG and BOOST IT, one massive HIT.


The reason for all this rage now, is because customers (players) are only NOW starting to REALISE THIS. Some have been saying this for years, they where bashed. Well they were right.

This thread is rather entertaining. People still coming in here, whining about the same old stuff, making really insane demands of CCP that have absolutely no hope of ever being entertained by ANY sane company.

And what's even more hilarious are the quitters who never really quit. Don't threaten, just do it. Don't just suspend your sub...liquidate your accounts, sell your characters in the bizarre, and leave. And no, paying for it with PLEX doesn't mean you're "not giving another red penny to CCP"...you ARE, just by proxy.

Micro trans only made sense if EvE online was losing money.

But its very much the opposite. EvE online is making enough money that CCP felt they could field developing two other games.

EvE is a money maker under its sub based plan. No reason for MT other then pure greed.

This is now just them blatantly sticking it to the loyal player base and trying to bilk them for more money.

This is pure abuse of the players. If the sub model wasn't profitable I might understand the move to add MT. But This is complete crap on ever level.
